Reproduced on the back cover of the catalogue. This work is a study for the oil on canvas Trooping The Colour, 1958-9, purchased in 1981 by the Tate Gallery, London. Trooping the Colour represents the military parade which takes place before the Queen every June on her Official Birthday. The Queen is seen on the right hand side of the drawing. Roberts not only served on the Western Front from 1916-18 but his military service began on Horseguards Parade.
