no title, 55 lithographed plates by Delpech after Boilly hightlighted with lead white, [Paris], [c.1825]. each 245 x 200mm. (9 1/2 x 7 3/4 in), tipped to blank leaves (not all used), most with double rule border in ink, contemporary diced russia ruled in blind and with elaborate gilt border, spine gilt, rubbed, edges a little worn, upper cover detached, folio.
*** Subjects include smokers, spectacles, ?reading a will, negroes, drinkers, extracting a tooth, soldiers, a money lender, shaving etc.

Some oxidization to lead white, spotting and soiling to mounts but plates clean, one leaf torn at lower margin, trimmed with occasional slight loss to signatures.

condition report
Tissue guards, one plate loose, with 2 additional plates (one a duplicate) cut down and tipped into mounts and loosely inserted, title lightly spotted and stained at inner margin where front free endpaper attached with sticky tape, plates with some light spotting and soiling to margins and guards but images themselves clean.
