The first tube is partially filled and the ceramic scale to the Negretti & Zambra thermometer has a repaired crack to the lower left-hand corner, otherwise in reasonable original condition. The second (Joseph Davis & Co) is lacking fluid to tube, otherwise is generally dirty but undamaged. The third is generally dirty but undamaged with filled tube, thermometer scales are worn.

Clock movement appears complete and original and probably will run but due for a clean and overhaul, barographs and aneroid barometer appear to be in good original condition however barometer lacking hand. The silvered dials are now discoloured and a max/min thermometer is lacking to the centre lower panel. The case has wear and dullness to finish as well as minor bumps, scuffs, etc commensurate with age. Rear door for clock movement has damage to hinges.

Mechanism has been disassembled, cleaned and re-lacquered, there is a small amount of play within the armature which probably could be adjusted out. The clockwork mechanism is currently not running and is lacking its internal securing nut. The case is in good original condition only having minor bumps and scuffs commensurate with age.

Mechanism appears complete and original however the original lacquered finish is fairly heavily rubbed. The clock mechanism appears complete and is running. The ink bottle is lacking. Case has a coat of very dark polish which is generally crazed and rubbed and with minor bumps, scuffs, knocks and scratches commensurate with age.

Mechanism appears complete and original and the clock mechanism will run retaining its original platform lever escapement. The lacquer finish to the mechanism is now a dull gold colour with some streaking to finish. Cap to clock mechanism has been later gilt painted. Case is very dark in colour and has some wear/discolouration to finish otherwise in good original condition with approx thirty spare papers.

Mechanism appears to be in good original condition with only slight edge wear to the armature frame in places, clockwork mechanism is working. Case at some time has been screwed down to a surface hence now has screw holes in the base to each corner, case has a few noticeable surface scratches and a couple of light shrinkage cracks to the top however would respond very well to cosmetic attention.

Not pressure tested however mechanism does appear to be giving a reasonably correct reading and is not seized. The scale is in good condition and there is only very slight discolouration to the brass bezel in places. The ebonised wooden surround has moderate bumps and scuffs commensurate with age as well as one or two shrinkage cracks. The removable plate at the back of the instrument has scratching and losses to both external black finish and internal white finish.

Manning, Worcester - mechanism responds to pressure test, dial is in good condition and thermometer is intact, case is discoloured and has what appears to be glue residue (perhaps for baize backing) to rear with a shallow dent towards one edge. Vidie type - barometer does not respond to pressure test otherwise in good overall condition with only slight discolouration to case.
